The school educational assistance service is the set of activities aimed at building an individualized path for the pupil with a certified disability and/or who is in an uncomfortable situation personal and social with the primary objective of supporting school inclusion and to promote the realization of a general well-being atmosphere at school.

The service is aimed at minors residing in the municipality of Borgo Virgilio with certified disabilities and/or who are in a difficult situation or who are at risk of social exclusion attending the service nursery, kindergarten, primary and secondary school of first and second degree.

The service is articulated in the following activities:

1) ad personam assistance service: within the framework of the competences referred to in Law no. 104/1992, and in the light of the new guidelines of the Minister of Education, in consultation with the Minister of Economy and the Ministry of Economy finances n. 182/2020 ensures the exercise of the right to education, promotes intra-and extra-school integration and the promotion of the full formation of the personality of pupils in a disability situation in schools;

2) supplementary educational service: it implements projects aimed at improving teaching skills and enhancing the relationship skills of children in situations of uneasy and/or social disadvantage or with educational needs special in agreement with specialist services, school and family through small group activity in school.

The place of performance of the service is the territory of the Municipality of Borgo Virgilio and the other municipalities where the schools are based (kindergartens, primary, secondary schools of first and second degree) attended by pupils residing in the Municipality of Borgo Virgilio;

3) summer recreation service: in the field of summer recreational activities and in order to carry out an effective action of inclusion within extracurricular activities, the reception of children and children with disabilities as part of the recreational initiatives carried out in the territory during the summer months. These experiences facilitate the achievement of the objectives of socialization and playful exchange among peers in less structured contexts than the purely school one. The inclusion of children with disabilities in order to ensure the necessary safety is carried out with the support of a dedicated operator;

4) disability and inclusion psychologist: he is the pivotal professional figure of the path of inclusion, as a facilitator of integration projects in school and extracurricular contexts. It acts as a link between the family, the school and the local agencies, promoting the development of possible paths focused on the enhancement of people, differences considered opportunities for all people. people.
