The subject of the public contract is the supply and installation of a new, unused, non-refurbished, fully functional DNA sequencing analysis device (1 unit), a DNA fragmentation device (1 unit), and various servers (3 units).
The contract fulfillment consists of the following:
1 device for 'massively' parallel sequencing analysis based on the principle of long-read DNA sequencing technology. This device will explore regions, new genes, genetic variability, new structural variants, poly nucleotide expansions, and regulatory elements that fall into the so-called 'dark regions', which are inaccessible to existing short-read DNA technology. It must be usable for research, diagnosis, and treatment of rare diseases within the European reference networks for ultra-rare diseases and the international research network ERDERA.org.
1 device for controlled DNA fragmentation to sample sizes ranging from 5 to 100 kb, with a speed of at least 90 samples per 120 minutes.
3 units of related computing technology, namely servers for processing raw data from the devices, a server for storing and backing up sequencing results, and a computational and workstation for bioinformatics analysis, optimized for collaboration with the aforementioned devices, all according to the procurement documentation.
