The initiative aims to recruit local resident volunteers to enhance health and wellbeing in their communities through various activities and partnerships with local services.
Community Champions 2024 - Multi Lot. The overarching aim of all of the projects is to recruit local resident volunteers (the Champions) to work with their families, friends, neighbours and wider communities to increase health and wellbeing and address health inequalities. They do this through a range of approaches including ongoing activities, groups, classes and sessions, outreach and pop-ups, large events, and public health campaigns. They work in partnership with a myriad of local services including VCS, council and NHS and a key part of their role is to signpost residents as needed to other services. The current arrangements are all due to end at different times which will be made to be coterminous with the financial year in this tender. The intention is to run a single tender and award a contract divided into lots. 1. Churchill Gardens & Tachbrook Community Champions Project (WCC). 2.
