The purpose of this contract is to select a specialized company to carry out the supply and installation of water meters; as well as the digitization and monitoring of the same, ensuring compliance with the objectives pursued by this PERTE for the digitization of the water cycle, which are:
1. Improvement of knowledge of water uses to consolidate an integrated management of water resources and improve water use efficiency in Spain, minimizing the impact of climate change.
2. Increase transparency in water management in Spain and the information available from administrations, users, consumers, associations in general, in such a way as to establish the foundations to raise awareness among the population and water users about their responsible and sustainable use and to strengthen and develop the capacities of the managing entities of the integral water cycle.
3. Contribute to meeting the environmental objectives established in the hydrological planning in the different water bodies, fighting against water pollution, complying with environmental flows, and in general, promoting the management of the public hydraulic domain and the protection of waters.
4. Generate highly qualified technical employment by investing in innovation and technology.
