Description:
The UK Ministry of Defence seeks solutions for detecting, tracking, and defeating Uncrewed Systems through a framework agreement, inviting suppliers to participate in a market engagement to gather insights and innovations.
National Armaments – Material (NA-M) intends to place an Closed Framework Agreement using the Competitive Flexible Procedure for the procurement of Counter Uncrewed Systems (C-UxS). UK Ministry of Defence requires solutions to detect, track, identify, record/communicate, and defeat Uncrewed Systems (UxS) and related capabilities including training, evaluation, and integration/management systems.
The Framework Agreement will be placed under the Procurement Act 2023. Contract value and timeline information is an estimate only and is subject to change.


The purpose of this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice (PMEN) is to gather market intelligence and explore current innovations across the sector. Insights gained through this engagement will support the development of a well-informed requirement and ensure the procurement approach reflects industry best practice and capability.

Request for Information
The UK Ministry of Defence requires solutions to detect, track, identify, record/communicate, and defeat Uncrewed Systems (UxS) and related capabilities including training, evaluation, and integration/management systems. Please provide a data sheet no longer than 2 pages. Please submit your responses to the Preliminary Market Engagement RFI to the Dismounted Close Combat (DCC) Team Multiuser DES-LandP2DCCCommercialTeam@mod.gov.uk.
The deadline to submit a response is Tuesday 14th July 2026.
Demonstration Day
Further to the RFI, we will also be conducting a Demonstration Day in August 2026. The Authority are looking for the following categories of products for the Demonstration Day. An RFI submission does not automatically result in an invite to the Demonstration Day. Invitations will be sent at the Authority’s discretion.
- Category 1: Body worn systems to detect Uncrewed Systems with no RF communications.
- Category 2: Tripod mounted systems to detect Uncrewed Systems with no RF communications.
- Category 3: Body worn systems to intercept and display FPV drone video feeds live.
- Category 4: Attritable dead drop systems to detect Uncrewed Systems with no RF communications and relay this information to the operator.
- Category 5: Training and evaluation Uncrewed Systems for use as target threats.

- This notice is not a call for competition.
- Participation in market engagement does not affect eligibility for any future procurement.
- NA-M reserves the right to amend the scope and approach of the project based on feedback received.
