The aim of the contract is to support the BMWE (Department III) through quantitative analyses in the conception, evaluation, and further development of measures. The focus is particularly on the achievable greenhouse gas reductions, economic impacts on public budgets, companies, and consumer groups, as well as aspects of acceptance and feasibility.
The work builds on existing overall system models for GHG projections and takes into account further impact assessments from relevant sources. The results are prepared in accordance with the requirements of KSG and NECP and transparently documented with regard to assumptions, methods, and results. The goal is a scientifically sound, clear, and technically usable decision-making basis for energy and climate policy.
