NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group proposes to commission a GP Out of Hour Service for the population of Sunderland. The aims of the service are to provide a clinically safe and competent GP OOH service accessible to the local population across Sunderland. The service will provide access to unplanned urgent care, working in partnership with the wider urgent care system across primary, community, secondary health and social care. The service will be a visible and integral part of the Sunderland Recovery at Home Service.
The contracting authority will develop the service model to incorporate the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, specifically:
— How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area. (Area is the geographic area for which the procurement is taking place).
— How, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement.
