The plan is to build a fire and rescue station with sheds for emergency vehicles of the Hamburg professional fire brigade. The building comprises around 5,600 m² GFA with dimensions of up to 95 x 40 m on a plot area of around 14,000 m². The building does not have a basement.

The construction site is located in HH-Finkenwerder on Aluminiumstraße between a petrol station to the north and the aluminium plants to the south, whose conveyor bridge spans the property to the east. Access to Aluminiumstraße is via Finkenwerder Straße.
