Analysis of the potential of photovoltaic systems on federal and state road tunnels

The potential of PV systems for the purpose of self-consumption of the generated energy is to be analyzed in selected tunnels.

o Allocation of suitable areas with PV and determination of the PV output and the specific electricity yield (annually, over the course of the day)

o Set annual electricity consumption per tunnel in relation to PV electricity yield. This also in the load profile of a day

o If PV electricity yield exceeds the daily requirement of the tunnel Consider implementation options for intermediate storage

o Preliminary consideration of how the generated electricity could be routed from the PV systems to the operating building or how it could be fed into the tunnel.
