This specification describes the renewal and expansion of the storage infrastructure for creating backups at the TU Ilmenau, the University of Weimar and the University of Erfurt.

The increasing demands on these systems every day require an urgent expansion of infrastructure in order to secure digital teaching at the participating universities.

The specifications contain 3 lots.

Only new goods may be offered for the European market. It is purely a delivery service for devices and licenses, and the client is installed and configured in the existing infrastructure. All equipment must be delivered fully assembled, only the installation of hard drives, wiring and mounting mounting rails for cabinet installation are carried out by the client.

For all components of lots 1 and 3, the price for 5 years maintenance/service, at least 5x9 with the start of the fault clearance on the next working day, as well as HDD retention (defective data carriers remain with the customer) must be offered for the service period.

For the existing three Quantum Tape Libraries i6k, the following parking space licenses are to be procured:

- Tape Library 1 (SN: 273410857) - TU Ilmenau / Uni Erfurt: 100 parking spaces

- Tape Library 2 (SN: 273410860) - TU Ilmenau / Uni Erfurt / Uni Weimar: 300 parking spaces

- Tape Library 3 (SN: 273410862) - Uni Weimar: 200 parking spaces

For the existing Quantum Tape Libraries i6k the following tapes are to be procured:

- 400 Tapes LTO-8, mit Label

For the existing Fujitsu Eternus DX200 S5, additional drive enclosures (DE), hard disks and SSD are to be procured for the Technical University of Ilmenau and the University of Erfurt to expand the storage space:

Ilmenau University of Technology:

- 2x DX200 S5 Drive Enclosure 3.5" with 12x 14 TB 7.2k nearline plates

- 1x DX200 S5 Drive Enclosure 2.5” mit 6x 7.68 TB Value SSD SAS

University of Erfurt:

- 2x DX200 S5 Drive Enclosure 2.5" without plates

- 10x DX1/200S5 Value SSD SAS 7.68TB 2.5" (to expand existing DE)

- 10x DX1/200S5 HD NL 14TB 7.2k 3.5" (to expand existing DE)

The drive enclosures should each be equipped with 2 controllers and 2 power supplies. The scope of delivery must include power and data cables as well as the material for installation in a 19" rack.
