SCK CEN conducts high-level scientific research in various nuclear disciplines and has an extensive portfolio for this purpose, including nuclear reactor infrastructures, special laboratory cells for handling highly radioactive materials and various research laboratories for the development of advanced nuclear systems and applications. 2D and 3D design tools are used for the development of new equipment, facilities, devices and devices by the Central Design and Engineering Group (DEO), the Infrastructure Engineering Department (ENG) and a number of other users in specific engineering departments. The type of design work is mainly in the field of mechanical engineering (DEO) and structural engineering (ENG).

Since the use of AUTOCAD products has historically been chosen to perform general design work and the entire CAD infrastructure has been built on this basis, the supplier will be an authorized AUTODESK service provider/reseller/partner.
