Description:
Digital Hub Software / Connect Box Software im Projekt DISTANCE

The implementation of economic interoperability requires a clear uniform specification of interfaces, a uniform implementation at the roll-out partners, as well as a coordinated configuration of the technical components by the industry partner sought here and the conception and implementation of an overarching roll-out and support strategy.

The desired industrial partner is responsible for the procurement and maintenance of software for at least 11 decentralized connect boxes, which are operated as a virtual system. The contractor must ensure that the currently applicable license rights of the licensors, the software products used in all areas, are respected, the same applies to indirect access. Particular attention must be paid to the fact that different user groups can access, which may be subject to different license conditions on the part of the licensors, such as .B non-profit status. Users are, for example, university hospitals, hospitals of different institutions, medical practices, patients, research institutions - list is not exhaustive. The software must be configurable according to the local hardware and the local IT structures of the respective roll-out partner. The hardware for the Connect Boxes is to be provided by the roll-out partners as part of the project.

At the same time, the Digital Hub will be implemented in close coordination with the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and System Technology ISST as developer and Healthcare IT-Solutions GmbH (HITS) as operator of the SSP together with the industrial partner. To this end, the joint call for proposals is being issued by Aachen University Hospital, Leipzig University Hospital, Jena University Hospital, and the St. Franziskus Foundation. The Digital Hub is the link between the Connect boxes of the roll-out partners and the SSP, as well as to the DIZ"en of the university hospitals connected to the SSP. It thus ensures interoperability. Via the Connect Boxes installed at the roll-out clinics or roll-out physician networks, the data flows with the Digital Hub are controlled and controlled by standardized processes. The Digital Hub then takes over the control of the data flows to the DIZ"en of the participating university hospitals via the SSP. This overall process, which is to be established, is largely based on the specifications developed in the MII.

The desired industrial partner is also responsible for the procurement and maintenance of software for the central Digital Hub, which is operated as a SaaS solution by a service provider, which is still selected separately by the client. The processes to be implemented by the respective roll-out partners must be configurable in the software. The server is provided by the service provider as part of the SaaS solution.

Digital Hub Connect Box Software

The Digital Hub is the central component of the DISTANCE infrastructure. The decentralized Digital Hub Connect Boxes are connected to this in order to summarize the data of all partners and make it available for comprehensive data use via the SMITH Service Platform (SSP), which is also connected.
