Procurement and commissioning of software for identity and access management incl. 2-factor authentication (2FA) for secure access to online and app offers.

Health insurance companies are required by law to use a 2-factor authentication (2FA) in sensitive applications in which particularly sensitive data can be read or changed by users.

In order to further expand the digital service offering, to increase data security and to meet the high legal requirements also in the future, the health insurance companies need a comprehensive solution to secure the online offers with an identity and access management including a 2-factor authentication.

In the course of the expansion of online services, various protection classes are provided for possible transactions. Today it can be assumed that transactions with a high protection class will increase continuously. As a result, the on-call health insurances on the one hand need to supplement the existing online branches and apps with a solution for 2FA, so that transactions worthy of protection can be secured based on 2 factors (knowledge and possession), and on the other hand the unequivocal statement the digital identity of the user.

In addition, it is necessary to subsequently determine the identity of the already registered users. For future users, the identity from 1.2.2020 is already established with the process of initial registration with a suitable procedure. For this purpose, an interface for providers of video / selfie identification that allows immediate registration is provided.

The aim is to use the described measures with effect from 1.2.2020 productively.
