Port of Tilbury London Limited (PoTLL) is suitably accredited and demonstrably experienced contractors to design and build new port facilities for the existing Tilbury port. The purpose of the works is to increase capacity at the port by providing new fixed and floating berthing facilities for the unloading and loading of ships and new hard standings for cargo handling, processing and storage. The works will also include a new rail head, the construction of road and rail links to existing networks, and sundry port facility building works.

The procurement will be split into 2 contracts:

1— a marine works contract, and

2— a terrestrial works contract.

Interested parties are asked to complete and return a selection questionnaire via the portal.

The marine works contract comprising all works within the tidal estuary beyond the existing sea wall /flood defences including the floating pontoon, articulated bridge, fenders, dolphins and associated pilings, river bed preparation and Construction Materials and Aggregates Terminal (CMAT) berth.

The floating berthing facility will allow for 2 RoRo ships, with an additional berth for bulk materials ships.

The marine works will be constructed within the tidal estuary of the River Thames.
