The client puts the service out to tender in accordance with the provisions of the VgV within the framework of an open procedure.
The University Hospital Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum GmbH intends to re-tender outpatient pharmacy billing, including new software for e-prescriptions, for all hospital operating companies in the Knappschaft Kliniken network.
The Knappschaft Kliniken are an association of several hospital operating companies, which are supplied by three in-house hospital pharmacies. The hospital operating companies in the Ruhr area receive their care from the pharmacy of the University Hospital Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum GmbH. The clinics of the Knappschaftsklinikum Saar GmbH and the Rhein-Maas Klinikum GmbH have their own hospital pharmacy that ensures care.
The billing of outpatient prescriptions according to §129 a SGB V is carried out by a joint billing partner. For the hospital operating companies in the Ruhr area, the billing covers both statutory health insurance (GKV) including co-payment billing (ZZ) and private health insurance (PKV). The Knappschaftsklinikum Saar GmbH (incl. ZZ) and the Rhein-Maas Klinikum GmbH only bill the GKV prescriptions via an external partner. In addition, production is carried out for KKS GmbH on behalf of § 11 para. 3 ApoG.
The details of the required services can be found in the specification/catalogue of services as part of the tender documents.
Billing must be made for the aforementioned hospital operating companies (KHTG) of the Knappschaft Kliniken Clinic Network by 01.01.2024.
The network-wide billing volume of all three pharmacy locations amounts to a total of approx. EUR 32,493 thousand gross (EUR 29,367 thousand gross statutory health insurance and EUR 3,126 thousand gross private health insurance) with approx. 27,000 prescriptions (24,350 GKV & 2,550 private health insurance)/year (informal data 2022).
The billing services are awarded in their entirety for the 3 pharmacy locations.
