The Osterlandgymnasium, including its outdoor facilities, must be extensively renovated. In addition to the renovation of the worn building fabric, the focus is on current energy requirements and accessibility. It is planned to vacate the school and then renovate it in one go. The project has already been registered with the Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture for a grant to state school authorities for construction measures at schools and sports halls (school investment program), approval year 2018 according to the "First Amendment of the Directive" of 07.02.2018.
