The project national road 23 Dagslett — Linnes is approx. 5,5 km long and stretches from Hekleberg in Røyken municipality to Gilhus in Lier municipality. The contract is a start-up contract where preparatory works shall be executed for a main contract that will be published at a later date.

The start-up contract includes:

A. Gilhus: a new roundabout in the crossing between the existing national road 23 and the Gilhus road.

B. Gullaug: a new roundabout on the existing national road 23 and a temporary road for construction purposes up until the cross cut, including a culvert under the existing national road.

C. Daueruddalen: a left-hand turn on the National road 23 and a temporary road for construction purposes up until the construction site for the new National road 23.

The main load of the works Gilhus, Gullaug and Daueruddalen will take place in and close to the existing National road 23 with an average annual daily traffic (ÅDT) of 14 000 to 18 000 vehicles.
