North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) are working for and on behalf of NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) who have commissioned a Health Care Assistant Career Start Service for Sunderland.

The aim of the procurement was to augment the existing health care assistant and practice nursing team workforces to ensure that the needs of the population are met including; an ageing population; an ever increasing demand on primary care and; a desire to provide more planned, proactive care, especially for those with long term conditions and complex needs.
