The University is planning further construction work on the Manor Park Campus. This notice seeks expressions of interest from design and construct contractors for two student accommodation buildings, Blocks P and Q;

— Block P accommodation is 114 Nr Studio Flat Rooms with ensuite and kitchenette (about 4,200 m2)

— Block Q accommodation is 165 Nr Enhanced Rooms with ensuite (about 6,300 m2);

Each block of accommodation is five storeys and will comprise of a concrete frame with flat slab and PCC columns on a piled substructure, faced brickwork external walls including architectural recesses with trussed pitched roofs with slate tiles, together with onsite infrastructure works, road, balancing pond, sewers, external works and minor buildings.

The enhanced rooms and standard rooms are grouped into clusters between 3 and 8 bedroom flats with communal kitchen and seating area. There will be also be a number of accessible rooms included with each block.

The procurement route will be single stage design and construct.
