With the financial support of the federal government and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft AG is planning to renew the operational equipment of tram line 901 Nord in Duisburg Ruhrort.

The implementation takes place on the occasion of the new construction of the Lord Mayor Karl Lehr bridge, coming from Ruhrort to the distribution district Kaßlerfeld, south of the Ruhr. In order to maintain traffic relations, a bypass is only created parallel to the existing building by means of final superstructures.
