First Ark is looking for a single contractor to provide the following services in the Knowsley area for commercial buildings, community centres and high/low rise blocks.
— Smoke Ventilation Maintenance, Inspection and Testing;
— Emergency Lighting Maintenance and Testing;
— Fire Alarm Maintenance, Inspection and Testing;
— Small Electrical Works;
— Weekly Call Point, Door Release and Panic Alarm Maintenance and Testing;
— Intruder Alarm Service and Maintenance;
— Fire Gas Suppression System and Room Integrity Test Maintenance;
— Servicing of Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE) and Fire Blankets;
— Gas Detection Service and Maintenance.
The bulk of these services will start at contract commencement, however others will become live as and when existing contracts expire. This information will be provided to bidders who reach ITT stage along with details of which services are applicable to which locations.
The contract is expected to start 1.4.2015.
The outcome of the tender process will be a single contract with a single contractor. The contract will be an initial 2 year contract with 3 options to extend by a further 12 months up to a maximum 5 years total contract term, subject to First Ark requirements and the performance of the successful contractor.
Potential value is approximately 100 000 GBP per annum in total. No guarantees are given, nor are implied as to the value of works that will be placed with the successful contractor over the potential maximum 5 year period as future projections are estimates only at this stage. First Ark and other members of the group accept no liability for any inaccuracies in the estimates provided.
The contract will be available for use by all members of the First Ark Group. The form of contract to be used is provided in the supporting information section of this tender.
