We are looking for a state-of-the-art µCT as a tabletop device for use in research and teaching at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences.

The device should be largely maintenance-free and it must be possible to retrofit and retrofit primary components. Since the device is used both in research and teaching, radiation protection and safety devices must meet the requirements of a full protection system according to German RoEV (< 1 µSv/h). The rehearsal room should be accessible from the front, back and top when the door is open. The sample chamber should have a height of at least 400 mm (helix CT). The installation takes place in a usual laboratory without a special industrial floor, so the weight must not exceed 600 kg, i.e. it must still be suitable for pallet trucks and be suitable for doors up to 90 cm wide. The heat load must not exceed 500 watts. For installation, the power supply must be 1-phase, fused at 16A. A 3D X-ray system with 130 kV and full protection housing is expected as a tabletop unit, including substructure construction. The resolution should be in a range of less than 5µm. An improved gray value resolution is to be achieved by an additional photon counting detector.
