The purpose of the adoption is to demolish the existing, post-tensioned concrete bridge (superstructure and substructure) and to build the ecoduct with shared use over the Brussels Ring R0 at the Hallerbos in Halle, to replace the existing traffic bridge of the Vlasmarktdreef. The new bridge will consist of two separate portico bridges at the location of the demolished bridge.
In the direction of travel towards Brussels (inner ring road) there must be permanently 2 lanes available for through traffic, and in the direction of Ittre (outer ring road) 3 lanes must be permanently available, except during certain works that necessitate the closure of lanes for safety reasons.
The assignment mainly includes (non-exhaustive):
● Carrying out (preparatory) earthworks;
● Breaking down and removing the bridge deck plate;
● Breaking down and removing the pillars and abutments (partly);
● Breaking up the existing car parks;
● The (partial) break-up of the existing Vlasmarktdreef;
● The realization of temporary shoring and excavation of the construction pits;
● Removing existing foundations of the pillars (partly);
● The construction of temporary pavements and crossings;
● Constructing the two portico bridges;
● Constructing the wing walls and the U-bins;
● Carrying out sewerage works;
● Carrying out the embankments to the ecoduct;
● The installation of the superstructure on the ecoduct;
● The harvesting of trees and shrubs;
● Execution of seeding works in verges;
● Carrying out concrete works;
● Carrying out foundation works;
● The execution of safety devices dumped on site;
● Markings;
● The delivery, installation, maintenance and removal of site signage;
● Renewing an eco-grid;
● The maintenance of the works during the warranty period.
