A new passing loop shall be established for the Ofoten Line, east of the central areas of Narvik The new passing loop, henceforth referred to as Djupvik passing loop, will be on a stretch from 7.8 to 9.3 km, where the main track will go through a single track tunnel. The existing track will deviate.

This contract; E04 Railway engineering, concerns all railway engineering disciplines in the project, as well as a small amount of substructure works. The contract mainly includes: the construction of switches, the construction of a new track in a tunnel, the establishment of a new contact line system and an outdoor signal system. Parts of the work must be executed close to the existing track. The main construction period is expected to be from May 2017 to December 2017.
