The HPA operates a silt dump at the Francop site. Partially dewatered, contaminated dredged material from the water depth restoration in the Port of Hamburg was continuously used as a seal at this landfill site or stored for unsuitable material for sealing construction. The basis for the operation of the landfill Francop are the approvals in the course of approval proceedings acc. §62 HaBauO from the years 1991 and 1998. The landfill was duly transferred into the regime of waste legislation according to Kreislaufwirtschaft and Waste Act and with the entry into force of the Landfill Ordinance in 2003. The landfill has an area of approximately 95 ha. The storage of dredged material was completed in the summer of 2018. In this former storage area in the east of the landfill, section Hintzenort, the cover system is now to be finally produced in compliance with the operating conditions granted by the supervisory authority.

Dismantling, transporting and storing the temporary sand cover of the root barrier on an area of approx. 70 000 m 2 (Installation thickness approx. 0.2 m corresponding to: 14 000 m³).

- Installation of approx. 80 000 m 3 on-site recultivation and topsoil,

- dismantling and disposal of approx. 5 350 m 2 paved landfill access (18 cm hot bitumen gravel) and 1 125 m curbs,

- dismantling of approx. 3 000 m 3 Base layers of RC material of the landfill access. Transport and landings to the interim storage Finkenwerder Sand,

- dismantling, transport and unloading of approx. 9 200 m³ sand of the sand dam of the landfill access incl. Expansion and disposal of 10 700 m 2 geotextile,

- dismantling, transport and unloading of approx. 5 000 m 3 sandy driveways in the construction field (without landfill access) and transport to the METHA Aufgabestation or Finkenwerder Sand,

- Preparation of a methane oxidation window on an area of 2 400 m 2 including delivery and installation of the pipeline (about 200 m) and the gas shaft east. Delivery and installation of the mineral filter layers (gas distribution layer (gravel 20 cm, approx. 480 m 3 ) and filter layer (gravel sand 10 cm, approx. 240 m 3 ). Delivery of approx. 120 m 3 Compost and 20 cm milling in the methane oxidation layer as topsoil. The methane oxidation layer (80 cm), the measuring shaft and the gas distribution shaft are provided by the customer. The installation is carried out by the Contractor,

- Delivery and installation of the fence with a length of approx. 170 m and the gate system for the methane oxidation window,

- Loading, transporting and piling up 62 750 m 3 Soils from METHA to the Finkenwerder Sand Interim Storage Site (Internal Ground Transport),

- Loading of external transport vehicles with 21 000 tonnes of silt from METHA.
