The municipality of Gomaringen intends to expand the Hubland School in two stages.
To this end, the municipality of Gomaringen is currently holding a competition for architects and landscape architects with a subsequent award procedure with the winners of the competition.
A suitable engineering office is being sought for the services of structural design in accordance with §§ 49, 51 HOAI LPH 1-6 including object supervision. The assignment is to take place in stages. In the first stage, work phases 1-3 are commissioned.
The negotiations are expected to take place on 17.07.2023.
The municipality of Gomaringen intends to expand the Hubland School in two stages, which has so far been a single-track branch of the Schlossschule. The school will continue to be run as a branch office, but in the future, in addition to the addition of a train, it will also offer the possibility of all-day care including lunch. In addition, two company apartments for pedagogical staff and for the renovation of the Hubland sports hall are planned.
The necessary rooms of the future two-stream primary school (approx. 180 to 225 pupils) are to be realised in a new building and the existing school building is to be converted, renovated and equipped for all-day operation.
In the overall measure, the current pedagogical and organizational requirements must be taken into account and the possibilities of inclusion and participation must be supported by the structural structure. In addition, the questions of energy efficiency, sustainability and economic management of the site must be answered with the measure in a future-proof manner.
The planning area with a size of approx. 11,304 m² is located on the western edge of the Hinterweiler district, north of the centre of Gomaringen.
Building stock:
The sports hall is a concrete building from 1974. As part of the building's maintenance, individual structural and technical improvements have been carried out again and again over the course of time. Nevertheless, the hall must be fundamentally renovated in terms of energy efficiency, use-specific and building technology.
The building of the current Hubland School is a concrete sandwich building from 1970.
The building technology must be checked and, if necessary, renewed in the course of the conversion. During the conversion, measures may have to be taken to prepare the building for connection to the local heating network.
Planning is expected to start in Q3 2023.
The areas of the school building comprise approx. 2,000 m² GFA for the new building and approx. 660 m² GFA area in the existing building. The stock of the sports hall comprises approx. 700 m² GFA. The sports hall is to be renovated or can also be rebuilt in parts.
The measure is to be promoted.

Additional structural design:
The findings from the ground report must be taken into account during planning.
It should be noted that weakly gravelly, clayey and sandy silts are found up to depths of 1 to 1.80 meters as a cohesive weathering cover close to the surface, essentially stiff-semi-solid and semi-solid. Furthermore, it should be noted that the silt has only low cohesive properties and that potential sliding surfaces can form in combination with layer water, which can be activated in the case of improper mass relocation by construction measures in the slope area, so that stabilization measures are to be expected in the case of foundation measures in the slope area. For the foundation of buildings, a shallow foundation can be made on single or strip foundations or on floor slabs. If the foundation is based on a base plate, a pressure-watertight version is possible.
There is no groundwater. However, strata water is to be expected due to infiltrating precipitation and surface water. The soils encountered are only weakly permeable and therefore not capable of seeping away.
The sustainability criteria according to Sustainable Building in Baden-Württemberg (NBBW) from the State Ministry for Regional Development and Housing Baden-Württemberg must be taken into account in further planning.
The measure is to be promoted.
