The EIB Group Health Insurance Schemes (HISs) are self-insured and cover the reimbursement of medical costs of eligible active staff, pensioners and their dependents (hereafter the Beneficiaries). The HISs provide similar benefits.

As part of an optimisation regarding medical treatments’ efficiency and costs reimbursed by the HISs the EIB group has in place a medical assistance for urgent and non-urgent medical questions and needs of the beneficiaries.
