It is intended that the listed town hall in Rotehornpark
Magdeburg to fundamentally renovate and expand.
The town hall was built in 1927 and is one of the most important buildings in the
City of Magdeburg as an outstanding architectural monument (Bauhaus architecture)
as well as from a functional point of view for the implementation of numerous
events.
The building is about 100 meters long, 50 meters wide and up to 22 meters high. The
load-bearing steel structure is walled with a clinker brick façade.
The town hall was built after partial destruction in the fifties and
rebuilt in the sixties.
The plan is to renovate the façade in accordance with the requirements of historical monuments, to rebuild it, among other things
of the hall area to a contemporary multi-purpose hall with corresponding
stage technology, the creation or modernization of operating, artistry and
Administrative rooms and the structural reorganization of the functional areas.
On the north side of the town hall, a new stage house is added. So far, the
on the north side of the town hall, extensions and additions made of
different eras will be dismantled.
The building and operating systems must be completely renewed.
The outdoor facilities are to be redesigned.
