The mobility network Ortenau, consisting of currently 14 municipalities of the Ortenau district, intends to receive a service provider who provides and operates a high-quality, widely available rental bike system with fixed stations for the automatic rental/rental and return of rental bicycles, which is available all day and all year round with a high quality of availability and reliability of all system components.
Essential components of the contract to be awarded are:
• the installation of automated stations including the
the associated infrastructure elements,
• the provision of rental bikes in the form of
city bikes and pedelecs as well as
• the operation and maintenance of rental bikes and
Stations (including sales, demand-driven
Disposition/redistribution of rental bikes (including
short-term removal of illegally parked
Rental bikes), repairs, cleaning).
This is also accompanied by
• (technical) customer support,
• the provision of technical solutions for
Rental transactions (registration, rental and
Return processes of rental bikes, driving break,
reservation),
• Marketing and communication as well as
• Data collection and reporting for the client.
During the term of the contract, a spatial and quantitative expansion or densification of the rental bike system is possible and even foreseeable. This may also lead to an expansion of the service area to other cities and municipalities that will join the Ortenau mobility network in the future. As part of cooperation with third parties, additional stations or additional rental bikes can also be provided at existing stations.
