The aim of the initiative is to ensure that youths who have dropped out of school or do not, in another way, participate in school/work, return to education or find work. The initiative shall motivate participants to take responsibility for their lives and be self-sufficient. Engaged, motivated supervisors who know the group well are decisive for success. Tenderers and executing personnel are expected to have very good knowledge of sixth form education and the education system as well as training in companies.
The participants shall be mapped and individual and general plans shall be developed for self-financed education or work. A sub-aim of this course is that all the participants shall get to try working life via relevant work practice.
Length of the course: 12 weeks
20 participants
Target group:
— Youths aged 16-25 who have not started or who dropped out of sixth form college, not received an offer for an apprenticeship in a company, or who have dropped out of higher education. Participants are not required to be legal students.
— Youths aged 16-25 who have completed education, but have difficulties in finding relevant work.
Targets:
1) At least 60 % of the participants shall, upon completion of the course, have a concrete offer, including;
— An offer of education (possibly a completed plan on further education with sub-aims and deadlines) or training in a company.
— An offer of a job
2) All participants shall have a relevant work training place after the theory period has ended, i.e., after the third course week.
