On Texel, the emphasis is currently on sustainable generation and saving energy. These two directions are essential for the success of the heat transition. Because the possibilities on Texel are currently limited for sustainable generation, customization is required. The reason for this is, among other things, the grid congestion and that solutions should have little or no landscape impact (wind / solar meadows etc). Developments at, among others, the Province and grid operator Liander will have to be monitored even better and even more connection with these parties will have to be sought in order to achieve a good coordination between the investments of the network operator and the plans and developments that are going on within the municipality. Grid operator Liander cannot give sufficient priority to the investments required on Texel if it is not clear which developments are taking place on our island in the field of energy generation.
