The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is obliged, in connection with the expansion of the E39 Hove-Sandved from single carriageway to dual carriageway, to implement noise reduction measures on surrounding properties that have a noise level that exceeds the limits set in the development terms for the project. According to the noise mapping executed by Rambøll AS, noise reduction measures must be implemented on 50 residential units. Facade measures shall be implemented in the form of new windows, new vents, noise insulation of walls, balanced ventilation, etc. In addition, several of the residences shall have their outdoor areas shielded. The scope of measures are stated in the description and reports, included in the tender documentation.

This competition is for measures on the 50 residential units divided between the following measures:

— 25 of the residential units will receive facade measures;

— 17 of the residential units will receive balanced ventilation;

— 39 of the residential units will receive outdoor measures.
