Sund & Bælt has 25 years of experience in collecting tolls, including collection at the toll station on Storebælt.

Sund & Bælt has established a separate Tolling division, which handles tasks with designing, developing, implementing and operating the toll solution for the Group and for the Danish Government. Over the years, several tax tasks and similar tasks have been added:

1. In 2019, Sund & Bælt implemented Denmark's first Free Flow toll station on the Frederikssund fixed link

2. In 2020, Sund & Bælt implemented digital enforcement of environmental zones in Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense, Frederiksberg and Copenhagen

3. In December 2020, a political agreement was reached to introduce tolls for trucks in Denmark from 1 January 2025

4. In the same political agreement, it was decided to carry out a trial of road charging for passenger cars from 2023 to 2025

5. In 2029, the new Fehmarnbelt link will open, where a new toll station will be ready to charge tolls for driving across the link. The goal is for Storebælt and Fehmarnbelt to have the same toll station, so a project has been established with the preparation of tender documents for publication by the end of 2024

At present, there are three ongoing projects:

6. Conducting road toll tests for passenger cars

7. Implementation of tolls for trucks

8. Acquisition of toll stations for Storebælt and Fehmarnbelt

Sund & Bælt needs consultancy in the form of professional specialists regarding the implementation of tolls, including toll stations, who can assist with:

>Technical design of Enforcement solutions (enforcement) and Collection solutions (collection),

>Technical knowledge about control solutions, Camera surveillance solutions, image validation solutions, technologies such as ANPR, DSRC, GNSS, road payment facilities

>Assistance in implementing the aforementioned solutions

>Experience in defining and implementing business processes that support the above, as well as experience in project management in relation to tolling schemes
