According to the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania July 14 Order no. Annex 1 to the 217 Approved Waste Management Regulations (in its up-to-date version) classifies urban municipal sewage sludge as non-hazardous waste (waste list code 19 08 05). Currently, sewage sludge granules (dried sewage sludge) are considered as waste.
The supplier shall ensure the continuous, continuous (at agreed weekly) intervals removal of the dried sludge for processing throughout the contractual obligation.
Where sludge is used for fertilization, the November 1, will have to take it for disposal to Kaunas City. sludge accumulated in the wastewater treatment plant warehouse (about 2,000 tons, packed in big bags of ~ 800 kg) until the date of signing the contract, and all sludge that will be generated during the operation of the sludge drying equipment.
The supplier will have to transport the amount of dried sludge accumulated in the silo tower (tower volume 150 m3) (for sludge dryer operation), not packed in big bags. The indicative amount of sludge to be dried in one day is 14-18 tonnes. The maximum estimated amount of sludge is 6 500 tonnes per year.
The quantity of dried sludge contained in this technical specification is indicative and the buyer is not obliged to provide the quantity indicated during the term of the contract.
