The nuclear and radiation protection licensing and supervisory authority of the State of Schleswig-Holstein has for the respective radiation protection licensing procedures for the handling of radioactive substances according to § 12 Abs. 1 No. 3 StrlSchG for the:

- Transport staging area I (TBH I), for the application of April 24, 2020 (document no. 20040302hl) and the

- Transport staging area II (TBH II), for the application of April 24, 2020 (document no. 20040303hl)

At the Brunsbüttel (KKB) location, there is a need for safety-related assessments, in particular also radiation protection, fire protection and construction aspects in the technical and administrative / organizational area.

The services include safety-related assessments, especially radiation protection, fire protection and construction aspects in the technical and administrative / organizational area. As part of the safety-related assessment of the license applications for handling radioactive substances, the testing activities include in particular:

- Assessment of the completeness and verifiability of the submitted documents;

- Evaluation of reports to be submitted in the approval process and

- Evaluation of the operation.

In addition, other activities are expected to include:

- technical advice to the licensing authority;

- Coordination and provision of information with other experts, if necessary, and

- the preparation of expert opinions if the client deems them necessary to prove the approval requirements and are not submitted by the operator.

The services provided also include project activities such as:

- project management, project coordination;

- Quality assurance.
