Metal construction work on the 4th construction phase of the general renovation of a grammar school

Metalwork:

In the course of the renovation, the building envelope will be thermally insulated and energetically renovated. The new window and façade elements are designed as aluminium elements. For the most part, the windows are equipped with external sun protection (external venetian blinds).

The façade of the ground floor will be glazed on both sides in the area of the break hall. For this purpose, a large part of the load-bearing exterior walls on the south side, as well as the glass blocks on the north side, will be demolished and replaced by mullion and transom facades.

On the 1st and 2nd floors, floor-to-ceiling window elements with a closed parapet behind the cassette structure are used on the south side. On the north side, the existing window strips will be replaced with different inserts.

As part of the renovation, the fire protection of the school complex will be improved. This also includes the production and upgrading of fire compartments.

The corridor on the two upper floors is divided in the middle by a fire door. Smoke protection portals are being built in addition to the adjacent components.

Ribbon windows connected by frames. Composed of:

- 5 pieces of aluminium tilt-and-turn windows, W 1.30 m x H 3.10 m.

- 2 pieces of fire-resistant glazing (G90), W 1.30 m x H 3.10 m.

- 8 pieces of skylight fixed panels, W 7.65 m x H 0.65 m.

- Fassadenerker, B 1.40 m x H 3.10 m.
