Please also refer to the full tender documents, including the agreement on advice (ABR 18), the concept paper and the service description.
Mørkhøj School was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen and built between 1955-1964. The school is classified as worthy of preservation SAVE 4, and is described in the registration as beautiful buildings in Nordic functional tradition with various extensions of mixed quality.
SAVE 4 is worthy of preservation means that exterior changes must be approved by the authorities.
The overall objectives are:
• To improve insulation and indoor climate, and ensure good daylight conditions and the architectural expression
• To meet the municipality's intentions in connection with the School of the Future
• To clean up environmental substances in materials and surfaces
Mørkhøj School is a 2-track school, located at Ilbjerg Allé, close to green areas and with good outdoor areas. Today, the school has about 450 students and 70 employees.
Mørkhøj School is locally anchored and is located in the middle of Mørkhøj close to the library, which the school uses in everyday life. The school contains after-school care for children from 0-3rd grade as well as a school club for 4th-6th grade, which currently. Is located in the nearby settlement of Torvegården, but which is now being moved into the existing school canteen.
Mørkhøj School was built between 1955 - 1964 and expanded several times. The school was built according to the finest and far-sighted school ideas of the time, but today cannot meet all the requirements of a modern school and is therefore facing a structural update.
The prepared concept paper forms the basis for the project and sheds light on the following:
• Realisation of the third stage of the school's master plan stage 3
o Updating the school's learning environments in wings 1 and 2
o Overall renovation of wings 1 and 2
o Rehabilitation of environmental substances, including asbestos roofs and heavy metals
o Location of the school club Mørkhøj at the school (under construction*)
o Construction of new home economics (separate project*)
*These projects are handled separately and are not part of this tender.
It is expected that tenders will be offered in main contracts with separate main contracts at CTS.
Loose furniture is a client delivery and will therefore not be covered by the task.
With this tender, Gladsaxe Municipality offers turnkey consultancy for the described projects in concept papers.
