JRC Karlsruhe has started the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for the renovation of its technical infrastructure. The renovation works in the nuclear laboratory wing A are intended to update the overall technical facilities (hot laboratories, ventilation, electricity, heating, water supply, fire protection, radiation protection) and to increase the energy efficiency of the building. The overall project is divided into three phases, from the feasibility study to the further planning of the renovation works and thus also the procurement processes up to the supervision of the planned measures during construction. The present invitation to tender refers to the first phase, the structural technical examination of the feasibility of the intended planning taking into account the nuclear licensing requirements for the modernisation of the Wing A building. The contract also includes a cost estimate of the recommended renovation measures.
