The building to be renovated KWM 6-14 is located on the site of the former Kraftwerk Mitte, in 01067 Dresden. The building dates from 1895 and was built for the operation of electrical switchgear. The building has been unused since 1996.
The building has a basement, ground floor and 6 upper floors (3rd - 6th floor in the guy tower). The top floor is approx. 23 m above ground. The building is predominantly made of solid brick masonry, the ceilings were made of reinforced concrete.
The site is located between Könneritzstraße, Schweriner Straße, Wettiner Platz, Alfred-Althus Straße and Ehrlichstraße.
The work is carried out in parallel to the services of other building trades on the site.
Cleaning:
- clean approx. 1 150 m² facade with superheated steam,
- acidify approx. 800 m² clinker,
- approx. 250 m² natural stone particle beam cleaning.
Facade remodeling:
- approx. 100 m² new facing wall with clinker,
- Install approx. 39 pieces of reinforced concrete lintels,
- approx. St. lintel prefabricated parts with facing brickwork.

Clinker facade renovation:
- renew approx. 154 m² facing shell,
- replace approx. 330 damaged or missing clinkers,
- supply approx. 21 200 pieces of missing clinker, some special formats,
- approx. 3 500 imperfections with stone replacement mortar,
- Approx. 9,400 m of grouting.
Refurbishment of natural stone:
- approx. 600 imperfections with stone replacement mortar,
- about 1 100 m of grouting,
- use approx. 150 crossings,
- renew approx. 32 m cornices and parapets,
- Add 8 pieces of profiled individual stones,
- Remove and reuse approx. 15 m of base and cornice stones.
