Stadtwerke Neuruppin GmbH has a district heating network that is currently supplied exclusively with boilers and CHPs. For decarbonization, a geothermal energy center is to be built at the Heinrich-Rau-Straße site.
The permit field to be used for this purpose has an area of approx. 13,448,600 m² and is located in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin. Due to numerous boreholes in the immediate vicinity of the planned drilling site, which represent an exceptionally good data situation, the Aalen sandstone aquifer at a vertical depth of approx. 1,700 m was selected as the preferred target for the geological knowledge analysis. Based on the productivity index of PI = 135 m³/h / MPa, a production of 200 m³/h of geothermal brine with a pumping temperature of approx. 70.5 °C can be realized.
Based on the consumption parameters of the entire heating network of Neuruppin's city centre, an energy balancing was carried out. As a result, up to 76,000 MWh of geothermal heat can be fed into the district heating network with the use of high-temperature heat pumps.
Lot 5 includes the delivery of stainless steel winding wire filters including top and sump pipes for the Neuruppin geothermal doublet.
