De Basis has been a self-insurer for the WGA since 2012 and has transferred the financial risk associated with the self-insurer to an insurance company by means of a fully conventional insurance policy. The current contract expires on 31.12.2019, midnight.

The purpose of this tender for De BasisFluvius is to remain self-bearer for the statutory WGA benefits as of 1.1.2020 and to transfer the entire financial risk thereof to a private insurer by concluding an agreement with 1 party to insure the legal WGA benefits (WGA deductible carrier insurance) to (former) employees, but with the proviso that a private option is financially and operationally viable. An assessment of the Tenders based on BPKV and a further analysis will have to show this.
