First Ark required a single contractor to provide the following services in the Knowsley area for commercial buildings, community centres and high/low rise blocks.

— Smoke Ventilation Maintenance, Inspection and Testing;

— Emergency Lighting Maintenance and Testing;

— Fire Alarm Maintenance, Inspection and Testing;

— Small Electrical Works;

— Weekly Call Point, Door Release and Panic Alarm Maintenance and Testing;

— Intruder Alarm Service and Maintenance;

— Fire Gas Suppression System and Room Integrity Test Maintenance;

— Servicing of Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE) and Fire Blankets;

— Gas Detection Service and Maintenance.

The bulk of these services will start at contract commencement, however others will become live as and when existing contracts expire. This information was provided to bidders who reached ITT stage along with details of which services were applicable to which locations.

The outcome of the tender process is a single contract with a single contractor. The contract is an initial 2 year contract with 3 options to extend by a further 12 months up to a maximum 5 years total contract term, subject to First Ark requirements and the performance of the successful contractor.

The contract is available for use by all members of the First Ark Group.
