Modernisation of up to 25 SB09 tram sidecars

The AG operates 30 SB9 tram trailers in its tram network. Manufacturer of the sidecars is the company Linke Hoffmann Busch for the mechanical part and ABB Henschel for the electrical part. These vehicles have already achieved a service life of approx. 27 years or a mileage of approx. 1,900,000 km. According to the manufacturer's documents, the service life is 30 years.

This project initially involves the modernization (redesign) of 15 low-floor sidecars of type SB09. These consist of a car part. Furthermore, 5 additional sidecars are to be modernized in two options.
