The project Løren line is a 1, 6 km long double-railed underground section in the tunnel between Sinsen at the Centrum line (the underground ring) and Økern at the Grorud line. The project includes an underground station at Løren, approx. 1 100 metres in rock tunnel and approx. 500 metres in open air (including concrete tunnel). Moreover, the project involves construction of a new sub and super structure for an approx. 500 metres section at the Grorud line, between Hasle station and culvert towards Økern. The project is scheduled to be completed during 2016.
Implementation of the project provides a basis for improved utilisation of the Underground system’s total capacity for the following 3 main areas:
1. Relieve the joint section (Tøyen - Majorstuen) through the city centre with one train from the Grorud line, in such a way that the Østensjø line achieves increased frequency from one to two trains every 15 minutes.
2. Establishment of a new railway connection for a direct line between the Grorud line and the Underground line towards north.
3. Establishment of Løren station in the urban development area at Løren and connect the new residential areas to the Underground line.
The project shall be executed in several contracts.
This contract “the Løren line - Engineer geologists” includes:
3 engineer geologists for following up the tunnel works. One, two or three agreements will be entered into for these positions. The assignment is initiated during summer/autumn 2013, and the contract period is 1, 5-2 years.
