The contract concerns the establishment and maintenance of a system solution that records, maintains and exhibits key information in accordance with the Water Supply Reference Model developed by the Danish Agency for Data Supply and Efficiency. The contract also contains requirements for an IT component for external IT systems and for initial data bases for the Watercourse Reference. The system solution is an IT solution that generates and maintains data in the form of a link between a generalized, national, topological network with linear references for streams and relevant objects in GeoDanmark's river basin geometry.
With the watercourse reference, authorities and organizations will be given a tool to ensure the unambiguous location of watercourse data in relation to the authoritative geometry of the watercourse (GeoDanmark's Watercourse Center). It enables automatic compilation and exchange of data on watercourses across authorities and IT systems. In addition, parallel maintenance of geometry for watercourses is made unnecessary, as the Watercourse Center - on which the Watercourse Reference is based - constitutes the authoritative geometric watercourse theme in Denmark.
A key objective of the Joint Public Digitization Strategy (FODS) initiative 6.1 on Common data on terrain, climate and water is to ensure consistent data on the hydrological cycle. One step in this is to ensure easier, faster and more accurate exchange of watercourse data. The watercourse reference will be a basic infrastructure component that enables easy and accurate compilation of data, which supports projects in FODS 6.1 on Collection of Watercourse Data, PULS 2.0 and HIP, as well as the purpose of the initiative as a whole.
The Client points out that the Customer's right of use for the Delivery also includes the right to give the parties at any time behind the Joint Public Digitization Strategy initiative 6.1 on Common data on terrain, climate and water (FODS 6.1) and their suppliers a right of use for the Delivery corresponding to Customer's right of use. At the conclusion of the Contract, the parties to FODS 6.1 include, in addition to the Customer, the following: The Danish Environmental Protection Agency, KL and the Danish Regions. In addition, the said right of use also includes all Danish municipalities and regions. Only a contract is entered into with the stated contracting entity and there will be no independent contracts for the parties. Furthermore, the right of use does not entail any further payment to the winning bidder.
