As a municipal company of the city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Bauprojektgesellschaft Ludwigshafen mbH (BPG) is planning the modernization and repair, including the restoration of the unrestricted load-bearing capacity of the existing "White Elevated Road", which is part of the inner-city elevated road south B37 and part of the inner-city elevated road system of Ludwigshafen
As part of this construction project, the road surfaces on the existing superstructures are to be completely dismantled and renewed. Furthermore, the ramp connections from the structures to the existing road network are to be thoroughly expanded. The drainage systems in the roadways, including the sewer systems below the bridge structures, must be adapted or renewed. Paving work in the area of the structures must be carried out. In the case of the areas below the structures, the original condition must be restored after completion of the construction work. Crossing roads are not part of the areas below the structure. If damage has occurred to the crossing roads as a result of the construction work, it must be repaired accordingly. All surface pavements located in the construction site below the White High Road (WHS), up to the existing traffic routes, are to be preserved as far as possible. Damaged areas are to be dismantled and restored according to their original condition. Fixtures of the former parking lot use in the area are to be removed. The demolition areas are to be coordinated in detail in advance with representatives of the working group. The existing drainage system is to be partially dismantled and rebuilt in a position adapted to the new drainage system. The superstructures will have a roadway structure with a 4 cm mastic asphalt surface course and a mastic asphalt protective layer underneath. As a result of the existing unevenness of the road panel and the levelling layers required in some areas, a two-layer installation of the protective layer can be assumed.
