Retrofitting of the Rhine flood dam XXV and the right Murg dam, construction lot 4.

The state of BW, represented by the Karlsruhe Regional Council, Department 5 - Environment, Unit 53.2, is renovating the Rhine flood dam (RHWD) XXV and the right Murg dam. The aim of the renovation is to create flood protection for the design flood and the infrastructure for dam defense if necessary. The rehabilitation section extends over a length of approx. 14 km. Of this, around 3 km are along the Murg and 11 km along the Rhine. The renovation is planned in several construction lots.

The subject of this tender is construction lot 4, which in turn is divided into construction lots 4.1 and 4.2. These include the Rhine dam along the Gold Canal on the Steinmauern and Elchesheim-Illingen districts between stations 3 + 250 and 4 + 550 (construction lot 4.1) and the Rhine dam along the gold canal and the Illinger Baggersee between stations 4 + 550 and 5 + 900 (construction lots 4.2 ). The embankment rehabilitation essentially provides for a flattening of the embankments, the construction of a waterside maintenance bar, the construction of a landside berm including a defensive path and the adaptation of the junctions in the rehabilitation section. Between stations 3 + 400 and 3 + 700 the dam will be straightened over a length of about 300 m.

The following services are essentially required for this:

- Construction site infrastructure: approx. 12,000 m 2 ,

- Traffic safety and control: 3 entrances, cycle path diversion approx. 11.5 km,

- Felling and clearing work: approx. 35,000 m 2 ,

- ordnance investigation and clearance: approx. 8,000 m 2 ,

- Dismantling of the bunker systems: approx. 300 m 3 ,

- Dam renovation: approx. 67,500 m 3 ,

- Dam straightening: approx. 11 500 m 3 ,

- Path construction for Dammkronenweg, dam defense path, access ramps and existing paths: approx. 22,000 m 2 ,

- Rehabilitation of the construction site access BZ-1.06: approx. 3,500 m 2 ,

- Cable work: approx. 2,800 m.
