The object of the award is the establishment of a programme office, with which the project funding in the Federal Programme for Biological Diversity is implemented technically and administratively in all phases along the content and formal requirements of the client. This includes, in particular, the preparation of funding announcements and project calls in compliance with the overall funding concept of the client (Federal Nature Conservation Fund and Action Programme for Natural Climate Protection), the preparation and further development of sketch and application documents, the advice of interested parties and applicants, the examination of sketches and applications, the approval or rejection of grants/allocations if necessary. including the review by expert committees and the technical and administrative support during the term up to the proof of use. The programme office supports the client in the further development of the funding priorities, in particular against the background of the amendment of the National Strategy on Biological Diversity expected for 2023 and in the dissemination of the results of the projects through specialist communication, event organisation and participation.
