Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (‘the Trust’) is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver Independent Tester Services in relation to the PFI scheme to build a new state-of-the-art hospital on a biomedical campus in Cambridge.

The new PFI hospital is a scheme in the region of a 165 000 000 GBP project funded from private finance and public sector funding and is expected to deliver a facility with over 300 beds with outpatient services and a wide range of diagnostic and treatment facilities.

It is anticipated that the construction will commence in early 2015. The construction and commissioning phase is expected to be complete by late 2017.

The successful bidder for the Independent Tester Services will be expected to enter an agreement for services with the Authority and also the successful PFI provider.
