The city of Essen intends to deconstruct the former municipal main pool with the swimming pool and the upstream company building at Steeler Straße 38 and the former health department (later job center) at Bernestraße 7 in an orderly manner. The vacant area is to be used for the new construction of the “BürgerRathaus Essen” with a two-storey underground car park. The aim of the tendered services is to hand over a completely cleared site with the excavation pit, etc., which has already been completely built for the subsequent new construction.

As things stand, the following applies: Work should start immediately after the order has been placed. A period of 18 months is planned for the execution of the services (04/22 to 09/23). The work must be completed by September 2023 at the latest. The handover to the general contractor for the new building will take place in October 2023, and only the dismantling of the building with relieving the load on the shoring of the shoring anchors is to take place at a later date - in the course of the work space being filled.

The construction project described above is accordingly divided into 3 subject areas:

Department A: Special Civil Engineering, Department B: Construction of excavation and Department C: dismantling.
